Sylvia Kamanja holds a BA Law and LLB degrees from the University of Swaziland and an LLM in Marine and Environmental Law from the University of Cape Town. She is a dedicated lawyer and has extensive legal experience spanning several years as a legal researcher, environmental justice attorney, and practicing attorney in various organisations. She is very passionate about the law and justice. Sylvia has worked as a legal researcher at the Constitutional Court of South Africa and at an Environmental NPO in Cape Town supporting communities affected by air pollution caused by coal-fired power stations in Mpumalanga South Africa. She is a visionary, a focused leader who will stop at nothing to realize the conceptualised objectives and always looks out for the inclusion of the marginalized in society.
Currently a senior legal researcher at the Judiciary in Seychelles, Sylvia supports the office of the Chief Justice on issues pertinent to the Judiciary. She is passionate about the African continent and implores all to work towards creating the Africa that we want.
